We are a modern, entrepreneurial boutique employment law practice with ambitious plans for growth and a reputation for delivering commercially astute, pragmatic advice to employers and senior executives.

We are now looking for an experienced Employment Partner, Legal Director or ambitious Senior Associate who wants more than simply another fee-earning role.

This is an opportunity to become a genuine part of the leadership team of a growing practice — helping shape strategy, influence direction, develop people, strengthen client relationships and play a central role in the next stage of the firm’s evolution.

The Opportunity

This role will suit someone who enjoys building, influencing and contributing at a senior level within a collaborative and agile environment.

You will have the freedom to:

  • Lead and further develop the firm’s employment law offering.
  • Build trusted long-term relationships with employers, business owners and senior executives.
  • Influence the strategic direction and future growth of the practice.
  • Work closely with a leadership team that values ideas, initiative and commercial thinking.
  • Help create a high-performing, supportive and forward-thinking culture.
  • Develop junior lawyers and contribute to the growth of the wider team.
  • Play an active role in business development and client acquisition.
  • Contribute to a business where your voice, ideas and actions genuinely matter.

This is not a traditional corporate structure where decisions disappear into layers of management. We are looking for someone who wants visibility, influence and the ability to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise employers and senior executives across the full range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
  • Lead and grow the employment law practice area strategically and commercially.
  • Develop strong referral relationships and expand existing client networks.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, collaboration and service development.
  • Contribute to firm leadership, operational direction and strategic planning.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team.
  • Maintain the firm’s reputation for commercially focused, pragmatic client advice.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to support long-term client relationships and sustainable growth.

About You

You are likely to be:

  • An experienced Employment Partner, Legal Director or Senior Associate ready for the next stage of your career.
  • Commercially minded with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys creating opportunities rather than simply responding to them.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy whilst also valuing collaboration and shared success.
  • A strategic thinker who enjoys contributing ideas and helping shape direction.
  • Calm, thoughtful and commercially pragmatic under pressure.
  • Motivated by building something meaningful and being part of a close, high-quality team.
  • Interested in a role where you can genuinely influence outcomes rather than simply service workload.
  • Able to demonstrate business development capability and ideally possess some existing network or following.
